If you want to hear and tweak the instrument sounds in each module then try connecting the Main L/R audio outs from one to the Aux ins of the other and monitor its Main or Headphone output/s.

You can use a cable like this: https://www.ebay.com/p/Hosa-CPR201-Dual-Cable-1-4-TS-to-RCA-1m/2255472082

Also here's some useful info about how to midi control a DM10 module from another one: http://www.alesisdrummer.com/index.php?topic=92.0

For a list of extra midi notes & sounds available in each DM10 kit refer to this Midi map: http://www.hellfiredrums.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/DM10-Midi-Note-Map.pdf

a new question, drumsticks nylon or wood?

Another option is fitting rubber tubing pieces on your drumstick tips to deaden the contact noise mainly from hitting the rubber pads.
