Custom Rock Kit Settings?
« on: January 10, 2014, 07:25:08 PM »
Hi,

I have had my kist for a few days and wow, do the built in kits suck (at least for me). All i wanted was a standard Rock kit, but noooo, I get 3 kits with distorted guitars and clown whistles.

Does anyone have any custom settings they can share for a standard Rock kit? Like a few pics or setting notes of the settings for the different pads? I could go through the pains of trying to figure out sensitivities, and thresholds and curves on a few of the sounds...and I have been..but if I had a base set to use (and if the base set was good enough, then great) then I could start tweaking from there.

Just a thought.

Cheers!

It would probably help if you let everyone know what kit you have.

Never mind. I am having fun with the DMEditor. Someone posted a Metallica kit and I am tweaking from there. This is awesome!

I strongly recommend going through the pains of setting the threshold, sensitivity, curves, xtalk send/receive, zone xtalk and retrigger - the trigger settings are global, and work across all the kits. And press the store button while editing the trigger settings to store them. :)

I'm with you!  I love tweaking the kit. I've built kits for all kids of music.
