Low battery setting on SR18
« on: July 31, 2021, 12:02:10 AM »
Been using my new SR18 with quality AA batteries till the "low battery "message started flashing. Currently switched to Mains power plugged into sine wave inverter, which works just fine. I intend powering this way when I start using it live busking. I also run a TC Halicon VL3x and a Korg Wavestate. I saw in one Youtube review that it will run for 4 hours or so once message starts flashing and I am aware I can change the level at which it flashes. Question is this: How low is Too low. Or put another way, can i damage the unit by powering it with batteries that are to low in voltage. I see in the manual a picture of the low voltage message set to 3 Volts. That sounds crazy to me. Thing is ( I'm a Grey Nomad travelling in a Motorhome) it would be nice to use it on batteries for patch creation etc while sitting outside. Last thing I want is a flashing message. Well 2cnd last thing. Last thing is to actually damage my new toy.
Cheers Steve.
