Nitro mesh drums on a Surge Frame

Can anyone tell me if this can be done or is feasable ?
The Nitro rack is just to short, and was wondering if I could transfer all the drums and cymbals from my Nitro kit, to an Alesis Surge Rack.

The Nitro Rack uses 1-1/8" tubing (1-1/8" clamps) for the crossbars...1-3/8" for the uprights.
The Surge Rack is the Industry Standard 1-1/2"
So you would have to change the clamps and unknown if the Nitro L-Rods are the same diameter as all the other L-rods to fit into 1-1/2" clamps ...

You could try and find 1-3/8" tubing and just upgrade the uprights.
Home Depot has 1-1/4" metal closet rod and you could wrap tape around the clamping areas to take up the missing 1/8" for clamping but the feet for the bottom of the uprights will also be big so your best bet is measure the diameter of the L-rod where it goes into the clamp. The majority of the kits new and old (Command/Crimson/DM10 STRIKE etc) that use 1-1/2" clamps are 3/4" so you can use L-Rods or Cymbals..the STRIKE L-Rods are much longer than the others.
