The Nitro/Surge Modules are based on the Medeli DD512...there are multiple posts/Topics available including answers to all the questions you have posted as they have been answered multiple times over the years...including the basics on setting up for recording.. use the Search (Upper Left)
Keep in mind Audacity does not support Vst Instruments..only FX..
