Every 2 hit on snare is a cymbal sound

Hi Guys

First post.  Just bought myself a Alesis Crimson 2 SE kit  The snare every 2nd hit makes the sound of a cymbal? Weird.  Ive gone through the trigger settings but cant seem to find a fix for this, the rim of the snare is the perfect snare sound every time also, would just like my snare to be a snare and sound like it on every hit, bloody annoying .  Any help or ideas would be great thanks

I have gone back to factory settings for now, anyone got any good recommended on settings for a  beginner
