And to answer your question, I did.
Unfortunately, that is what I had to do to help control spam. Without the
"3 questions, plus a password, plus a captcha" I would need to go though about 1000 new members a day just to find one or two legit new accounts (not fun). And even with that, I still trash about 10 new accounts a day do to spammers.
