Author Topic: Right bass drum pedal not always triggering properly on Alesis DM10 MKII Pro  (Read 339 times)

So the drummer in my band plays an Alesis DM10 MKII Pro electronic drum kit. He's got it set up with double bass drum pedals (2 beaters on 1 bass drum). He's finding that the right bass drum pedal is sometimes not triggering properly; it is a bit temperamental at times. What could be causing this, and how can he fix it? Thanks.

Adjust the Trigger settings...
It can be one setting or a combination of multiple settings..sensitivity,threshold,retrigger etc..all these are adjusted to playing style.
If the settings are adjusted where the drummer likes them and just missing hits..
Advanced Drum modules have a retrigger setting to adjust the time between hits..The DM10 MKII Pro has a Retrigger Cancel Setting..

Retrig Cancel:
The required amount of time between successive hits of the pad to produce the sound for both hits. If the value is too low, you may hear multiple
hits (or ?flams?) occur after striking the trigger once. If the value is too high, you may hear missed notes when playing faster or rolling.

Go into the Trigger settings and adjust Retrig Cancel.
To save your changes, press F3-Save. Otherwise, your changes will be lost when you power off the drum module.
