Outside the US there are Alesis kits being offered with a Custom Real HiHat Sensor..mainly in Malaysia.(where a lot of parts are manufactured)The images IMO look to be of a 3D printed assembly..
The Real Hihat Sensor is available in Analog and Optical (powered).
Note that it doesn't use a Typical Clutch setup..instead has an adjustable Clutch with Pivot.

There is also a mention in the recently released Crimson III User Guide.
There are settings for (2) Hi Hat Types... HiHat Pedal and the
"Alesis Real Hihat Sensor" mounted on a Hihat stand.
Setting description:Hihat pedal:This is the included hihat setup. Using this setting the hihat is controlled by a separate hihat control pedal.
Real Hihat:With this setting the hihat is mounted on a hihat stand using the
"Alesis Real Hihat Sensor."A New Hihat Controller ?

The FAQ page for the Crimson III states it uses a Continuous
"Type" pedal with 1/2 Open..
Alesis Crimson III | Frequently Asked Questions The Hi-Hat pedal included with the Crimson III Kit is a continuous variable type pedal. This pedal allows for open, half-open, and closed hi-hat sounds, and will also allow for "chick" and "splash" sounds when the pedal is pressed down and released without striking the hi-hat cymbal pad.According to the MIDI mapping it is a Dual Zone Hi Hat..However No MIDI Note for 1/2 Open (23) as the other Alesis Kits that offer the 1/2 open sound show in the MIDI Mapping.
The Alesis Kits offering the 1/2 Open sound
ALL send MIDI Note 23 and use the
DMHat V2...which is segmented pedal.
So there is some confusion...
