FYI, wood drumsticks on a mesh head

I opened the mesh head on my new (to me) crimson set, and saw all this fine sawdust inside the pad. Every head on the kit was just shredded as well.

Yep, This is because mesh heads are like sand paper. If you use wood tip sticks they will get worn down. That is why it is a good idea to always use nylon tipped sticks.

Just like you should never use a felt beater on a mesh kick trigger as it will create too much friction/heat and cause the mesh to break down.
