Dream pad handle 4gb storage 24bit samples imports, 3 zone total, 2 zone pad + 1 laser on the head snare one shots sample, units cost less then 400$, internal metronome, onboard power, and is able to be a MIDI controller and used inside Ableton as well!

It is only meant to work with acoustic drums. The laser needs a solid surface to work on. A mesh head will not work from what I'm seeing.

Good to know. It's very exciting tech, but it is quite expensive for one trigger unit. Just under $400.00 per 3 zones drum (and it looks as if 2 of the zones are on the unit itself). That's about $2,000 for a five pice (no cymbals). You will not be able to play your rims and cross stick like you do on a Roland kit. Also, I'm wondering how many of these units can be used by Ableton at one time. I only ask the questions, because their website states nothing. They just want you to join their mailing list and they don't seem to say much on Facebook. They need to show some specs and what can be done.

I know, but I think the concept are for those drummer only want few sound and compact for gig, he told me they are developing also new triggers, different from the market.

Good afternoon all,

Josh here with DrēmTrigger! Great discussion here and I'm glad you guys brought up the concerns you did. Here goes my attempt at addressing them!

1. Mesh Heads? Yes the unit works with mesh heads, although standard drum heads work best in this application.

2. Price - Think of DrēmTrigger as a "Mother Ship" unit, one that is the jack-of-all-trades. First, let's understand that generally, there are guys who trigger everything, and guys who don't trigger at all. Our primary objective was to build a product that gets the guy who doesn't use a trigger at all - something that can fit inside a stick bag and is all you need to get up and going. However, we already know, the guy who triggers everything wants a taste as well, which is why we're already developing Aux triggers that will be much more affordable for drummers looking to make a switch. Also, let's not forget, these things are milled out of a solid block of aluminum....*solid as a rock*.

3. Lack of Information - I know I know I know.....you guys deserve all the details! I would be right along side you guys, screaming for more information. Right now, we are wrapping up development and that means all the important specs you all care about are still being confirmed. So for the time being, hang in there! I'm here to answer any questions you might have!

Feel free to shoot me an email if there are any questions! Josh@dremtrigger.com.

**Shout out to ChrisK for fielding the questions!**
