Alesis Strike Module with Roland VH-10 hats

Hello, I have an Alesis Strike drum module. Recently I bought a Roland VH-10 HiHat and was wondering if anyone knew how to set it up properly with the Strike Module? Maybe it's just the VH-10s but I feel they don't open and close as smooth as if I had a HiHat controller and a drum pad etc.. any help would be appreciated.

Hey. I recently gave up on the 2 piece Strike Hi-Hat and am waiting on delivery of my VH-10. I’ll report back with any success I have.

i have this setup and while its much better than the original its still frustrating at times. I don,t believe there is no way to calibrate the hi-hat. I copied some free kits from the YouTube channel at the source studios and then just tweaked the settings. Before doing so i took screen shots of each setting. My biggest issue is from the hi hat rocking (touching the controller) while playing which sometimes gives the hi hat a semi open sound even when its completely closed.
