DM10 X Restoration

Hello all, I've recently acquired what I believe to be a DM10 X for $50 off marketplace. It is not missing any parts except the 16" ride + mount, all the pads and cymbals trigger correctly (tested on a nitro max module) and the kit is in generally good condition, aside from 2 10" high toms and the snare which have been converted from the factory mylar heads to mesh heads. For one, the mesh heads are usable but in rough shape. Further, the main thick foam circle has deteriorated, but is still capable of holding the plastic disk and attached piezo at the correct height. I plan to get new foam cones for triggering and replace all the heads with new mesh (any recommendations?).

What I'm mainly concerned about is the module. It powers on, but many of the buttons don't seem to work, nothing is triggering, and there is no sound coming out of the module. Upon further inspection the power supply is not only not factory, but also the incorrect adapter (AC-DC, not AC-AC). I've order the correct power supply. Should I expect it to fix these issues? What I'd really like to know is if the power adapter does not fix the issues, are there other troubleshooting paths I can take? How easy is it to crack open the module and potentially do some soldering? I cannot find any resources for module repair. I'm trying to cover all my bases, and am excited at the possibility of getting this kit up and running for such a low price. I'd appreciate any help/advice here.

Sometimes getting the correct power supply can fix this issue. It's kind of a 50/50 thing. Many times the issue that you described is do to someone using the wrong power supply. Hopefully a new power supply will fix the issue. One other thing, be sure to do a factory reset of the module once you get the correct power supply. I've seen this on an occasion or two fix this issue.

DM10 Factory Reset: Press and hold the EXIT and STORE buttons simultaneously while turning on the module.
