Questions about the stock rack clamps for my Nitro Max Mesh Head Kit with Expansion Pack. The support clamps that hold the module, drum pads, and cymbal arms work just fine. The rack leg/support clamps won't tighten enough to prevent some mild wobbling when I play (I'm a "light" hitter)

Anyone else solve this situation with metal rack tube clamps? If so, what did you buy, please? Thanks!

Unfortunately a number of the entry level racks on the market are not Industry Standard..ie 1-1/2"..and also use single piece slip on clamps.
The Newer Nitro Kits... Nitro Pro/Ultimate/XL use the Industry Standard.
The Nitro Max and the early/older Nitro Kits are 1-1/8 crossbars..1-3/8 uprights ,bottom mount Toms, and the uprights are on the short side.The upright to crossbar is a combo size clamp..1-1/8 x 1-3/8.

There are No other choices for upgrading clamps etc for this rack.

If the clamp doesn't completely close you could try scuffing the inside of it so it isn't as smooth and creates more bite/friction.
If the clamp is completely closed/tight (No gap) and still slips you could try adding a piece of paper or thin sandpaper like 2000/4000 around the tubing and spread the clamp over it..or add a small piece tape (electrical tape etc) to the upright on the clamping area..you may not be able to cover the entire diameter without spreading the clamp a lot to get it over it or just enough tape to increase the outer diameter of the tube a bit....other than that there are not too many options.
