Greetings, Earthlings!

I'm a 72-year-old active gigging drummer; happily married, retired Army combat vet. I have been playing music (cornet) since 1964, trumpet since 1968, drums since 1969. I'm based in the Lawton/Fort Sill, Oklahoma area. As you can see from my signature block, I am loyal to a handful of brands/manufactures.

I'm getting a bit old to be carting a 6-piece acoustic kit up and down three flights of stairs anymore. I'm not giving up gigging, but I should start giving my body some playing options.  Earlier this year I decided it was time to start getting familiar with an electronic kit.
Enter the Alesis Nitro Max Mesh Head Kit with Expansion Pack. I've played a 2-up, 2-down drumkit configuration since 1974. No sense in changing now.

I'm quite pleased with everything right now, though I WILL upgrade the structural rack clamps to Gibraltar metal ones.

1st two pics shows how the kit fits a tiny 10ft x 7ft stage. The 3rd pic shows my regular acoustic kit.
