I started off with a cheap and nasty second hand kit.. along with a even nastier session pro dd505

Stripped it down and cut all the shells to suit,  then wrapped in brushed platinum vinyl wrap.

Re jigged the rack off my dd505 and mounted to fit, used the old dd cymbals while waiting for my low volumes.
I used jobeki dual side triggers on everything except fir the kick drum cross bar, used zed triple ply skins on everything too.
I don’t have room for my 20” ride in my current space so I’m using the 18” crash as a ride and the 2nd piece of the 14” hi/hat as a second crash.
Goedrum hi hat controller added, works ok but I find I have re-calibrate quite often.

What a difference on a full size kit, I could literally spend all day playing on it, it’s driving the wife crazy...

I have no cross talk, everything sounds good except the toms, I just can’t get them to sound “real” the kick and snare sound great. The toms have a hum to them that I can’t get rid of, I might have to ditch the DM10 if I can’t get it sounding more realistic.

Any tips greatly appreciated...

Came out real nice. Ever thought about EZdrummer or another VST for better sounds?

I ended up selling the DM10 for a second hand td17, sounds great.. I just couldn’t get the Tom sounds I wanted, haven’t even had to tweak the settings on the Roland
