Change Strike Hi-Hat MIDI Out?
« on: July 07, 2018, 02:55:26 PM »
Hi,

I have a application on my Mac (it's not a VST or DAW) that is expecting to see GM MIDI notes. And I cannot map in the app.

That (GM compliant) means closed hi-hat on 42...and open hi-hat on 46.

The Strike does not send separate MIDI notes for different sounds, it just sends notes tied to the triggers alone. I can assign the hi hat bow to 46 (or 42), but I can't get it to send 42 if the pedal is down and the bow is normally 46. I considered assigning HH edge to 42 (HHclosed) and bow to 46, but the edge trigger on my HH is not really working.

Is there something I'm missing in the Strike that can make this happen? If I can't figure this out, I may have to go Roland. :-/

Thanks to anybody who can chime in...I've banged my head against this for a few days now.
