Hello everyone!

I'm Sebastian from Germany. I play the drums in general for about 22 years, covering a wide spectrum musically, from orchestral percussion to pure e-drumming.

The first e-kit I played seriously and on a regular basis was a Yamaha DTxpress IV in the late 2000s at my school. My first own "e-kit" was a Yamaha DD-65 I got as a present for my tiny student flat, which I later enhanced with a proper kick pad to make it somewhat useful. Both experiences rather fed my scepticism but my enthusiasm towards edrums.

But since technology progressed, my budget grew and I became more open minded musically, I gave it another shot. At first I got a 2box Speedlight Kit. I already had admired their DrumIt 5 Mk I-kit at Frankfurt music fair 2009. Later I added an Alesis Strike Multipad to my setup. Both can be heard and seen in action on my Instagram.

I then also bought the 2box trigger set and started to use one of the dual-zone triggers on my acoustic snare drum with the SMP. Recently I also added a trigger on my bass drum and the first floor tom to integrate with electronic sounds and sound enhancements even deeper.

Now a problem with the SMP (and the triggers) brought me here and I'm curious if it can be solved or if I have to trade in my SMP for a SPD SX Pro. But this is for another thread ;)

Kind regards,
Sebastian
