Strata Core AUX IN

Trying to adjust the CORE module mix to send the AUX IN monitor feed to only the headphones but not back out the MAIN feed to the PA mixer. I found some online suggestions about using the internal mixer to achieve that but am finding the controller screens very confusing to do that. Anyone done this and could shed some light on the procedure to do that in the mixer screen? Thanks for your help.

The relationship between Strata PRIME and Strata CORE are similar to the Older DM10 and DM8..while they were similarities...there were also differences in the OS,Features and Sounds...
The DM8 was a lighter version of the DM10...as is the Strata CORE..to the Strata PRIME.
I don't have a CORE Module so I don't have one to compare and a list  all the differences from the PRIME.
One being the Assignable Outputs.

The Strata CORE has only MAIN OUTPUTS (1/4) on the back of the Module..
The Strata PRIME uses (2) XLR for the MAIN OUTPUTS and 1/4 TRS for the assignable Outputs 3/4...5/6.
PRIME uses (2) 1/4 inputs (Balanced MONO) for AUX IN.....CORE is a single 1/8" TRS.

This section shows the routing for the Drum Mix, Aux In, Bluetooth In.
To access go to the Mixer Page.
MIX....Set to Advanced...at the top you should see 4 Tabs (L-R)...Drum Mics..Cymbal Mics...Ambience and FX.....INS & OUTS.
Press/Select INS & OUTS..

The CORE Module may only show 4 selections w/Faders...Drum Mix..Aux In..Bluetooth In..Main L/R.
The PRIME has 6 with Assign 3/4 and Assign 5/6.



Aux In... Bluetooth In.....the Outputs can be reassigned in the PRIME Module as there are more Routing options.
Drums Mix,MAIN L/R,Assign 3/4..Assign 5/6.. cannot be Re-Routed.

The Box/Button below the Faders for Aux In/Bluetooth In assigns Outputs....in the PRIME Module.

That is the unknown part ...does the CORE have the additional options for assignable Outputs under Aux In..Bluetooth In.
More than likely not as I didn't see any reference in the CORE User Guide..

Press MAIN L/R at the bottom of each...is there a pop-up menu with optional Outputs?....is it the only option available?
If there are no other options there no way to Re-Route the Aux In/Bluetooth In and have just Headphone Monitoring.

The Alesis Strata Core does not allow the AUX IN to be assigned to headphones; it is an input only.
The Alesis Strata Prime does not allow the Aux input to be assigned to headphones; the Aux input is strictly for audio input.

That's not entirely accurate....in Jam Mode you can select between Drum Mix..Aux In and Bluetooth In for Headphone Monitoring during Recording...however it is not applied to the Output.

The PRIME Module can be setup for 6 Outs..MAIN L/R (1/2)..then 3/4..5/6...It is possible to setup the Aux In/Bluetooth In to be monitored through the Headphones Only and still have the use of the Faders in the Mixer for each... by simply assigning to different Outputs while the Kit Mix is assigned to the MAIN L/R Outs .
This works only if you are only using the MAIN L/R(1/2) for the Kit Mix...basically you are assigning to unused Outputs.
If you are using Multiple Outputs for the Kit Mix  then you would assign each (Aux In or Bluetooth) to it's own channel or both on the same Channel , depending on how much control you desire..by hard panning it.

Example: Aux In..Route to Assign 5/6..Hard Pan Left sends to Channel 5...Hard Pan Right sends to Channel 6...or if you want both on one channel assign..then hard pan one way or the other.
This gives the PRIME Module the option of 5 Channels for the Drums..1 for Aux In/Bluetooth/Backing Tracks that can also be controlled/shut down by you or FOH.

Thanks Chaser. It appears we can't do what we want to do so an external headphone amp seems to be the easiest solution for the CORE module.
