Thanks a lot for your try, Phil. Let's see what will come up...

I hope we can at least get a response.
Hopefully more users will see this topic and voice their support for it (or click the +1 button) over at the Alesis support forum.

I can hope anyway.  :)

Thanks, but I should point out that Dan Radin (See Dan Radin No longer with Alesis!) only left a month ago. I think the DM update thing died long before that. That's why I asked the question to J. Sandeen again, because of new product manager(s).

Thanks for the clarification - don't want to confuse the issue any further.  :)

Old thread I know.

I would like to be able to output as audio to multiple channels instead of just stereo out.  The DM10 has 4 outputs and it would cool to have a mode to specify each a separate track and assign various drums to those 4 tracks. 8 would be better but I could live with 4. Unless someone knows how I can achieve that with Trigger IO?

There are some threads and posts here describing the way to route different instruments to the main outs and the auxiliary outs, panning them hard left or hard right in their instrument setup. This way and because the single instruments are mono in original, you could use a 4-channel-like track setup and you could group more instruments, maybe kick and snare, to one of this pseudo channels.

Try the forum search ;)
