SR-18 MIDI velocity sensitivity
« on: July 03, 2022, 11:05:08 AM »
Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the forum so apologies if this topic has been covered already.

I have an SR-18 connected via MIDI to a Korg Kross2's sequencer so that the Kross plays the SR-18's samples. The problem is that the SR-18 does not appear to differentiate between the incoming note velocities.

I have set up DRUM IN ON V1 which I think is supposed to interpret the incoming velocity but notes which I can see on the Kross are around velocity 40 sound almost the same as those that are 110. This means that what should sound like ghost notes on the snare are just a cacophony.

Can anyone help? What am I doing wrong?

Hello again,

Maybe I should rephrase the question...

Is there any way I can modify the SR-18's response to incoming MIDI velocity data?
