Hi! a beginner drummer working on an interesting project

Hey!
Let me introduce myself, I am Lorenzo, electronic engineer from The Netherlands.
Last year I decided I was way too late in learning drums, and I bought an Alesis Nitro Max.

I'm a very beginner and I'm learning the basics, trying to go trough it via Drumeo and Melodics. Enjoing it but unfortunately going very slow.
I'm joining the forum to learn more about drumming, and to show my little invention:

One thing I immediately noticed is how bad is the Nitro hi-hat pedal: I had to press super hard to get a closed sound, and the overall feeling was not the same compared to a normal hi-hat pedal I was using at drum lessons.

I then decided to look into it and see what are the options, unfortunately the nitro model is not supporting other hi-hats. But being an electronics engineer, I decided it was time to make my own.


After many iterations I now got something I'm very happy about, my Nitro-hat is mounted on a standard hi-hat pedal and the feeling is much more realistic.

I shared this on Reddit and I got a overwhelming response, three people wanted to be beta testers and got one, they shared feedback and improvement ideas to make it even better.
Since this feedback was very positive I decided to work on the improvements and make a small batch for anyone interested. 
That's why I made a pre-order campaign, I want to see if there are at least 10 people who are interested in one.

My goal is not going to make any money, I already spent many many hours of engineering it and the price is mostly to cover the cost of custom made electronic, plastics and the hi-hat stands I want to buy for compatibility testing and improving the design before shipping.
