Help converting DD602 to Mesh Heads
« on: February 06, 2012, 04:28:52 AM »
I few weeks ago I picked up a Legend DD602 drum kit on ebay for under $100.   I pick it up from a second hand dealer.  As it was advertised as unsure if it was working as the seller did not know how to connect the cabling, the intention was to buy it for parts to expand my DM7 drum kit.   The kit was a bit dusty however after a clean it in perfect condition and is all working with no problems.  The Hi Hat pedal was missing.   Here's a picture of the kit.

I am now going to convert the pads to mesh pads using Hellfire's DIY video and use the pads to replace the rubber tom pads on the DM7.  I have a few questions.

1.  What type/size piezo is best to install for converting to dual zone.
2.  I was trying to decide between the 862 mesh heads of the Billy Blast  3 ply mesh. Which one would be better.
3.  What type of rim protectors will fit on these pads.
4.  Where can I get a replacement hi hat pedal.
