Changing Rim Sound
« on: July 29, 2010, 04:17:06 PM »
Hello,

I am brand new to this and just completed my first drum.  It is a half tom with the cake pan method, 2 zone, Roland mesh head.  I am using BFD lite and also EZ drummer with the Alesis Trigger I/O.  Can anyone guide me on how to change the sound just for the rim of the drum.  Say i want a snare sound on the head and a cowbell on the rim?

Thanks,
Evan

In EZ Drummer the midi notes are hard set so you would need to look at their midi map (it's avaiable under the Options) and find the cowbell midi note. Then you would need to assign that note to the Tom Rim in your module.

For BFD you could simply load up a cowbell, set the midi note to "Learn" and give the edge of the tom a good whack and it should be set.
