Hi Hat MIDI message?

My VST reads CC1 (ModWheel) for the HAT foot pressure levels.
Does the Alesis Trigger I/O send CC4?
If so, can one change the messaging from 4 to 1 there?
Someone here mentioned MIDIPipe?

What would be the best way (combination) w/ a Pro Tools HD
& the Alesis Real Pedal/TriggerI/O combo for the VST?

Mac or Windows?
What VST?

I use Steven Slate Drums on a Mac.  I used MIDIPipe to re-route the CC4 signal from the IO.  the signal has to be inverted, too.

on windows try: MIDI-OX and MIDI-Yoke
Alesis DM10 & Trigger IO, 5 8" single input DIY shells; 2 18" DIY Bass drums, 1 13" DIY eSnare, PinTech 14" Visulaite Hi-Hats, 2 PinTech 14" choke-able crashes & 18" dual-zone ride; Steven Slate Drums EX.  Mounted on Superstrut custom rack.

You could reverse the cc-data and change to CC1 in eTrigger.

I'm not familiar with eTrigger, but a bit of googling led me to etrigger.net, which has a $79 download. Is this what you're referring to? I'm interested b/c I'm attempting to get HH control working with SSD on a PC. I tried the MidiYoke/eDrum monitor trick, which worked, but eDrum monitor slows my system down after about 2 minutes of use. Is there a "lite" version of eTrigger or anything (that won't expire after the trial period is over)?

If you google for 'edrum monitor' you should find the old, free version of etrigger. I used it for a while, it runs very light, and will do what you need.
