Which soft has the Sabian HHX or AAX sampled?
« on: August 30, 2010, 12:32:14 PM »
Looking for a drum software that has Sabian's HHX or AAX cymbals sampled in them!
Just love the sound of them, and wondered if I could find them for electronic drums.

Main purpose of drumming:
Studio,
pop, groove, light rock,some fusion.

I like the bright of the AAX, but also like the HHX series for some nice groove.

Not really a fan of heavy metal stuff, '70's music or old jazz.

Any recommendations?
Thanks!

Kinda tough considering every AAX 18" plsion I have heard is different in little ways. That's why it's sooo important to not buy cymbals online....playing with your other cymbals is the only way to go.

Which AAX, HHX model? there are tons as you know

Sabian only made one series of AAX and HHX as far as I know.
IMHO they sound very good, better than machine made cymbals.
I know none of them will sound the same, but just wanted to know if there was any company sampling them or not.

Series? There are like 48 AAX cymbals, 37 HHX cymbals, diff. sizes, models..etc.

Which cymbal in the AAX or HHX line are you referring to?

Thank you denzil!

@Orangeblood: I generally want the most common ones. A ride, hihat, and crash/splash to practice with.

I also wished I could download a studio drum somewhere with bright cymbals for lower volumes. I know on electric drums volumes don't matter much, but I've heard some great studio drums out there, with cymbals not very loud, but very bright and clear!

I like those better than the Zildjan ones used in most rock drum sets,
I find the Zildjan cymbals I heard are most of the time thick and sound very harsh. Good when playing on loud volumes, not good for studio or when recording pop music I find.

Pro..I guess I'm not explaining myself very well. There are 40 AAX crashes alone in the AAX line.
There isn't a "common" one so to speak. If you knew what size, model it would help.
