iRocker edrum module with ipod dock?

I'm actually quite surprised that Alesis didn't release something like this:

I was made aware of this new product by a Vdrums.com member Kenster who posted about this product on the Vdrums.com forum site.

iRocker Drum Kit

It appears to be a product by Medeli (at least the kit itself is, see Medeli DD501). I stated the title as a question because knowing the DM6 is closely related to the Medeli DD501 and knowing that Alesis has many other products that dock with the iPod (and now iPad) I really thought they would have been the ones to come out with something like this. Like I stated over at Vdrums.com "Seems like a cool idea, but looks to be for the starter edrummer/new to drums crowd", but a cool idea never the less.

That is wise to incorporate the ipod in the module.  Makes perfect sense, imo.

Wow! talk about resurrecting an old topic. Even though its from 2011, I'm still surprised Alesis never came out with a kit like this.
