Author Topic: Strike Triggers on Strata Core - Snare Drum rim not working properly?  (Read 30014 times)

I have a new Strata Core set that I am really enjoying but I am having a problem with the Click/cross stick function on the snare drum.  It doesn't matter how I assign the trigger, when cross sticking the snare, regardless of the setting, All I get is a rim-shot sound.  Is this a problem with the module or the actual drum-trigger?   Any ideas?

Have you tried adjusting the Rim Balance?

The definition in the User Guide is a little confusing...it states lower Values will make Rimshots easier.....then..if Preferred.. to only have Rimshots..turning the Value all the way up.

RIM BALANCE
When playing on the rim, this will adjust the balance between a rimshot sound and a rim click or cross-stick sound.
Lower values will make rimshots easier and more likely, and higher values will make rim clicks more likely.
For the factory presets, this is preferential and based on your technique.
For example, some may prefer to only get rimshot sounds on the rim, which can be achieved by turning this value all the way up.

VALUE RANGE -64 to + 63

USER GUIDE V1.30 pg 51

or adjust/setup Stacking for Velocity Switching.
