Hello,
I have got two Alesis DMHats (Nitro Surge) which I want to use as a Hi Hat pedal and kick drum, on a Rockburn DTX-50 (which I believe is an old Yamaha kit).
I tried using them, but I could not get any sound.
Are the pedals compatible with the kit?
I know the pedals are switched, (on and off). A Yamaha pedal I have works with the kit. The Yamaha pedal has a sheet sensor switch.
The Yamaha pedal has one problem. It works with all the Hi Hat settings (open, closed, and half open).
But when just press the pedal, the sound of the Hi Hat I get is very faint.
I would be grateful if anyone can help me with these problems.

Welcome to the Forum !
The Rockburn DTX-50 is/was a
Medeli DD501 Rebrand.
RockBurn is a European Model not sold in US.,..probably 15 years + ago...
The Medeli DD501 Module is an entry level module..single zone toms/cymbals and does not have the ability to change trigger type for the Kick. The Kick is Piezo Type.
The Hi hat requires a Switch Type (ON/OFF) pedal..the
DMHat V2 versions (Nitro/Surge) are Variable Type...The DMHat V1 is/was switch type and has a Tab/switch.
According to the Manual the Hi Hat is Open/Closed only w/splash...No 1/2 Open.
I don't know what Yamaha Pedal you are using...but if the Module is a DD501..it isn't compatible.
Mixing and matching Brands/manufacturers does not always work out..especially with Yamaha.
Some triggers etc may partially work..but they may not work work well or at full ability.
