Has anyone bought or know anyone who's got a Laurin Drums hi-hat?

I bought a snare and kick from them many years ago and like them. Saw a video on youtube of a guy playing one of their hi-hats and saw on their website that they sell them now.. includes a top cymbal and controller and is supposedly compatible with Alesis.. not too bad pricewise.. I've got the Pro X on my DM10X and manage with it but I'm tempted to try this Laurin one out sometime.. have a feeling the cymbal part won't be that great, I see they use a rubber edge protector so I don't know if you get sound when hitting the bow of the hat.

Here's the link in case anyone wants to check it out:https://www.laurindrums.com/product-page/plain-x-529

Take care..
