EDIT:
There is a Drum/Pad shown in the DTX-PRO Manual pg 24 that is not listed in the XP Series nor included with any kit on the Yamaha site and Silicone pads usually don't require drum lugs..
Maybe a hint of more to come...

Hellfire:
I like these new offerings from Yamaha. When you consider the price:

These kits look even better.

Yamaha DTX6K-X Electronic Drum Set
Product Price $999.99

Yamaha DTX6K2-X Electronic Drum Set
Product Price $1,499.99

Yamaha DTX6K3-X Electronic Drum Set
Product Price $1,799.99

I would also like to point out that even at these price points the module still has individual pad inputs. Not that DB25 stuff here. Nice...

I am sure the current Yamaha DTX owners are happy as according to the Press release....
"The module is compatible with all current DTX pads, as well as with other triggering devices and pads. "

The DTX-PRO Module is also available separately MSRP $1.066.00..so the biggest bang for your buck is probably the DTX6K-X.
I also seen mention of Positional Sensing in the manual...

ChrisK:
Module is 799$ it supports position sensing (which is expired) it's new sound engine multilayering with round robin mixed with ead tec, include instrument real studio room channel recording + FX, higher resolution sound, low latency, 3 zones on each cymbal, at these price range most feature are not available with quality parts and out of the box sound. Notice you can layers up to 4 layers per zones on each triggers, you can blend wav with internal instrument as well. (64MB 380sec stereo total)

Newer model is to follow with higher range module, that will include mesh snare multi zone, larger ride. They are using the smaller one on these kit.

ChrisK:
699$ USD module, it's a steal price for those feature and sound quality.

Audio example
The recordings were made direct to the USB drive on the DTXPRO module with no additional processing. Its totally raw. Some presets and some customs
(There's one non-Yamaha sample in there - the snares-off sound - just to demonstrate using User Samples. These have up to 120 user samples per pad - 40 on the head and 40 on each rim, 10 layers and 4 round robin samples. However, this sample has 30 on each, so is 90 samples total)"
