John Bonham set up....specifically Physical Graffiti
« on: July 02, 2017, 07:46:42 PM »
Hello!  Brand new Crimson owner.  I love feel of the mesh heads and the look of the kit.

I am hoping that I can gain some of the expertise that someone has to help me figure out how to get Bonham's kit sound.  Specifically the sound of his kit that he has on Physical Graffiti.  Hopefully I can pull this off with the Alesis Crimson module as opposed to buying more software.  But, if purchasing more software is the only way, I am up for those suggestions as well.

I appreciate your help.  Thanks!!

If you're willing to spend some time getting familiar with Audacity (http://www.audacityteam.org/about/features/) then you can try extracting some WAV samples from these JB mp3 files (http://www.saladrecords.com/bonhamfiles.htm) by first converting them like this: http://www.stenographsolutions.com/solution/index.php?View=entry&EntryID=130.

Audacity allows you to edit individual drum hits and save them as 'one-shot' WAV files to import into your Crimson kit.
