hello guys, very nice forum you ve got here!
i've got a pearl vision vbx acoustic which i want to make electronic set.
i've got some pearl traveller mesh heads which i currently use to practice.
so i need trigs a module and some e-cymbals.
first question: i've ordered the surge cymbal kit:
http://www.dv247.com/drums-and-percussion/alesis-surge-cymbals--67435 whats the difference between this besides the 200 pounds?:
http://www.dv247.com/drums-and-percussion/alesis-surge-cymbal-pack-2-w-choke-electronic-drum-cymbals--59112is it only the choke ability?
2nd i consider getting ddrum t pro triggers and not the cheap red shot ones. is there a big difference about those two or should i get the red shot?
3rd i want a really sensible hihat and so i dont want to use the surge and i want to buy a roland vh 11 or a vh 12. am i doing right and is there a big difference between all those?
LAST and most important: the whole concept is being able to have a not so noisy set and BEING ABLE TO RECORD THROUGH THE TRIGGERS AND TO USE VST like reason bfd ezdrummer and so on, using the sounds from these progs or the ones i create, so using the drums as a controller - like a usb/midi keyboard. can i do all these with trigger i/o?
and whats up with that dm10 stuff?
its a module + an i/o and can you make sounds from reason and stuff and then save it to the module and play with them without the pc?
sorry mates for the huge msg but i am a little f*****g confused here!
