Do check out Da Vinci Resolve 16. It has a pretty powerful free version. I downloaded it and watched maybe 1 or 2 short YouTube videos before getting started. I'm uncertain if the free version supports multiple camera angles but worth checking out. There are many other things available in the free version that I'm not sure I'll even ever get into for my purposes. I trimmed my video front and back, synced the audio, added a fade in/out, and rendered it in maybe 2 hours. And this was on my first use accounting for trial and error and a couple redos. My next one will probably take 30 minutes to edit. The software is quite intuitive. Now if only I could record the song in one take without screwing up ...

Hey TMK, thanks for the info. I did hear about Da Vinci Resolve a few weeks ago and I went to their website to start reading up on it and checking out their videos. I can't remember either if the free download does multi angles, I know there were a few limitations but hey, it looked way cooler than MS Moviemaker lol I'm going to grab it to try, can't hurt. Geez, if I had the cash to splurge on my Ableton Live license so I'm not using the lite version, it lets you do a video track so it'd be right in where I'm doing my audio.. less manipulating in different programs the better. Plus I think I wouldn't be limited to 8 tracks.
Also, I've only had a brief looking into Reaper, I'm told it has so much to offer and it may do video for free as well. Whatever I end up trying/finding out, I'll post my thoughts on each.

I'm like you, I'd love to have a "do it all" app that can do audio and video.
My band uses Reaper, so I'm kinda stuck to that for the audio, and I'm still wanting to dive into the video aspects to see what capabilities it has. I imagine with it being a multi-track system, you'd be able to do multiple angles. It may just be limited on the transitions, maybe just fading in/out and crossfades. It's nice, though, that to register, it's got two price points for a license. The discounted license costs $60 and covers most people, I'm sure. Personal use or commercial use for a studio that generates below $20,000 per year. The commercial license is still only $225.
I fell into using Sound Forge many years ago, before Sony acquired it. Once I got my first kit and wanted to jam and record, a friend turned me on to Sonic Foundry's Vegas software. It allowed multi-track recording and editing, and even video. I never messed with the video all that much, but the audio functions were great for me at the time. I've since gone back to Vegas for editing all the band's videos. I really like the software. I've not used any of the audio editing features in conjunction with the video since all our files are in Reaper format, but if it's not been changed a whole lot over the years, it may be a solid option.

I NEARLY upgraded my Studio One Artist to the Pro version because it allowed me to have my video track in there too and I wouldn't have to go to another software. Quickly came to my senses though, too much not worth it. Then I thought I'd buy Vegas Movie Studio for a one time $60. Took a step back and I ended up finding the free Da Vinci Resolve. Switching to a 2nd program for editing doesn't bother me. I'm no pro.
The Studio One Artist came with my Presonus interface. I spent maybe $50-$60 to get the VST and MP3 support plug-ins.
If I'm gonna spend any more on software I'll keep building my EZX library or make the jump to SD3.
