So the Dm10 can load an entire new soundset called Blue Jay. If you want other sounds you would have to use a VSTi plugin like Addictive Drums 2, Superior Drummer 2 or BFD3

I would advise against a Dm10, it lacks many features such as velocity on switch zones.

But it has much less latency than any computer-based solution.

Just reviving an old thread. Any new kits out there to share?

OK, I'll be the brave soul.  Here are both modules and one kit across both modules.  Just be aware that your results may vary greatly if you decide to load these - I have two modules and you may get strange results trying to add it to one.
How do you upload these to module?
I did the 682Drums no soldering upgrade. See my photos here: http://www.dmdrummer.com/index.php?topic=3683.msg31354#msg31354

Rocket - Halfway down the first page are instructions on how to load these. Be sure to backup your current settings.

Anyone interested in trying some custom DM10 kits can check out my latest AllMemory Sysex file update from:

For more info refer to: http://www.alesisdrummer.com/index.php?topic=4240.msg45952#msg45952
I've recently been revising the A & B layer settings for more dynamic Vel>Pitch variation of snare sounds and other required tweaking of the kits.
The overall sound of the kits can be easily changed by selecting a different FX Compress or Reverb type (see O/M p13-15)

Hi all,

Seems like it has been a while since kits were posted. Is there another location to find custom kits?

Also, can individual kits be uploaded or does the entire library of kits get overwritten?

Thanks!

The easiest way to share DM10 custom user kits is by saving an Allmemory Sysex file but I suspect there's been little interest in trying them as all 100 kits get replaced in the module.

A fully functional kit and instrument editor like the one Alesis provided for the Strike module would have made it much easier to modify and share individual DM10 custom kits: https://7132afa424c2f1a2ab6d-54d68a14e2e7c1f76563a2d8c3e9fd82.ssl.cf2.rackcdn.com/1550/documents/StrikeEditor-UserGuide-v1.1.pdf

Now that is decent software. Can a DM-10 be configured to use it?

It's unlikely Alesis would have any interest in adapting the Strike editor for the original DM10 after it has been discontinued, even though both modules have similar instrument editing parameters.

There's some info about Strike kit and instrument file formats in this topic: https://www.alesisdrummer.com/index.php?topic=7143.msg49219#msg49219
