Ideally, I'd like to emulate Kascades' beat which as found on the song "Here I Am" from the Devil wear's Prada
as heard on YouTube.

Are you wanting a drum "beat" or a drum kit sound? I only listened to that song for about 30 seconds and all I heard was a standard 1/8 note rock drum beat (on electronic drum sounds, "simmons" like). Am I missing something?
