What are the functions of the A and B port on this cymbal? Is on of them the bell? I have a Nitro module. Can I plug the RIDE cable into one output and the other port into the TOM4 input for the bell sound? I currently have a one output DMPad Ride I am thinking of selling and getting the dual output.
DMPad Dual Cable (Output) Rides are used for Triple Zone..Dual Ride Input Modules..or in some cases shipped with a TRS Dummy Plug and used as a Single Cable Dual Zone Crash for some Kits.
The Outputs each have a Switch (Bell or Edge) which is tied to the Bow Piezo.
Dual Output Cymbals require (2)TRS Cables or (1) TRS Cable and a TRS Dummy Plug (Headphone adpater also works) to complete the Circuit which can be either Bell/Bow(Switch/Piezo) NO Choke..or Bow/Edge w/Choke (Switch/Piezo) depending on which output the TRS Dummy Plug is Placed into.
The NITRO uses the 10" Single Zone Cymbal w/Choke for the Ride which has Bow w/Choke only.
The Module does NOT have Bell or Edge MIDI Notes or Samples for any of it's Cymbals...strictly the Bow Only.
The Module has MIDI assignment Note 51 for the Ride Bow (missing Ride EDGE = 59,RIDE BELL = 53)..Crash 1 = 49..Crash 2 = 57 which are Bow.
You cannot use a Switch Type Trigger in a Tom (Piezo/Piezo) input...If using a Cymbal in a Tom input you may get it to work partially..Bow (Piezo) but NO Bell,Edge or Choke
