Hello from Newnan, GA USA

Hello Everyone!  I recently bought an Alesis e-drum set so of course I have questions.

First, I am NOT a drummer.  I am a guitarist.  My brother and my son in-law are both really good drummers so they help out in the drum area for me.

Secondly, I have a studio in my basement and I have a full set of acoustic drums (1988ish Tama Swingstar Japan that have been basement Queens since brand new). For 8 years I have known that I needed to get a set of e-drums to use with some vintage drum modules that I have.  I am re-cabling & upgrading my studio so it was time to bring in the e-drums and get them cabled to my DAW.

Thirdly,  I am retired and I hail from Newnan GA USA.  Newnan is 20 miles south of Atlanta off of I85.

I have been using Alesis sound modules & electronics since around 1999ish so selecting Alesis drums was a no-brainer for me.  The specs I wanted in an e-drum kit were:

a) The drum sound module had to let me add custom drum samples in .WAV format.
b) The tube rack has to be 1.5" diameter.

At my church the praise group has an Alesis Forge set.  I checked the Forge specs and it met my needs so I bought a complete used Forge set. That's how I became an Alesis "drummer".

I'd like to thank everyone in advance for your help as I do have a number of questions about my Forge set!
