That would be cool if they did. I know I've advocated for something like this for a long time. I still have a couple of my own DIY dual zone pads that have Switched TRS Jacks in them for splitting off the rim zone. Think of it as a built in splitter. ;) It would automatically disconnect the rim in the drum pad when an external pad it plugged in. Of course the external pad in only a single zone trigger, but I still thought it was a good idea.
I will most likely purchase the 18 inch model for some testing. I like the concept. I'm a little worried that there might be some hot spotting, but I will find out once I buy one. If I like the 18 inch, I will most likely replace my current cymbals with these new Simmons cymbals.

It would appear as if Simmons is getting closer to release of these new cymbals and kick trigger because they just updated this link to include what is already available. Accessories
Hellfire:
The new Accessories page is now up on the main site and the item are now for sale on Guitar Center's site.
I just ordered the MC18 cymbal. I'll let you all know what I think of it once I get it. Stay tuned! :D

It looks as if Simmons did send out some pre-release cymbals. I found this guy on youtube giving them a go.:

The rubber on his looks more grey than tan however. :-\ I don't like the look of the grey. I really hope mine is more like the product picture.
Well, I'm guessing Simmons gave the okay for people (who got the new triggers sent to them early) to put out their videos because I just found another one:

Both just put up today (10/20/24).

I was posting as you added the New Video link
I think it's more of a "Digital and Lighting" issue.."Smart" Digital tries to correct Color Temperature.
You can see the Cymbal above the other appears Tan..
The same as in this Video..In the beginning They look Tan..as the Camera pans around..the pad turns gray..then at 1:00 the top is Tan.. flipped over at 1:02 the plastic trigger housing/Rubber trim at the Edge looks gray..
