SIMMONS TITAN ???
« on: September 04, 2024, 06:55:08 PM »
Shouldn't there be a new Simmons kit coming out soon? For some reason I figured Simmons would be coming out with a new kit for this X-mas season. It has been one year since their last "new" kit which was just a minor upgrade from the 50 to the 70. I would thought a "Simmons Titan 100" or a "Simmons Titan Pro" would have emerged by now. Just speculating.

The latest (August 2024) news I heard for SIMMONS was the TITAN 50 B-EX Released.
The latest Digital Drummer (Sept 2024 Ed) also had an article TITAN 50 B-EX
Basically an updated TITAN 50....entry level stuff..

The only "Flagship" News is a Rumor swirling about a New Roland...but you know how that goes..
Not much revealed at any of the Drum Shows the past couple months..Music City/Nashville etc.

The UK DRUM SHOW is coming up..

Saw that. Those parts were already available la carte. Putting them together as a package isn't that big of a deal and I really don't consider that a "new kit". I don't know if you know this or not but when the SD2000 came out, it was suppose to be a much more capable kit. From my perspective they ran out of budget with it and there was talk to eventually make good on a Strike/Strata level kit. I guess Simmons dropped that thinking.  :-\

The Titan line showed promise with the sound packs (or what ever they are called) and I really thought they would have expanded on the ecosystem with a much more capable kit (and I don't mean the Titan 70). I guess they decide to stay entry level.
