Strike Pro SE vs. Strata Prime Rack
« on: March 08, 2024, 12:49:23 PM »
In the pictures of the Strata Prime that have been posted, I see that its rack has additional crossbars on the sides of the rack.

I have not read about any complaints of the Strike Pro SE rack being unstable or wobbly such that additional crossbars would be needed.  I am wondering why Alesis has added the 2 crossbars to the Strata Prime rack.

Update 4/14/24

After receiving my Strike Pro SE kit, I set up the rack and installed the toms and cymbals on the rack.  I noticed that the weight of the 12 and 14 low toms caused the crossbar and post on that side of the rack to lean and was a bit wobbly.  I found a curved rack tube and 2 clamps on Reverb.com.   I installed this second tube on that side of the rack.  It is now rock solid.  Now I understand why Alesis added the second crossbars on the sides of the Strata Prime rack.  ;)
