REMOTE HI-HAT ON A HYBRID KIT

Has anyone added an acoustic remote hi-hat stand on their hybrid kit by mounting it the electronic rack?  I have an Alesis Nitro Max Mesh with expansion pack - Upgraded Surge rack (1.5") integrated with an acoustic Pearl 7 piece ELX kit.  I have gone a little crazy like a mad scientist and am struggling for room!  I'd like to add a remote hi-hat (Griffin Remote) and mount it to the rack.  Not sure the diameter of the hi-hat tube, but it has to be thicker than the 1/2" hole in the rack clamps.

Any help would be appreciated!
