DM10 won't show up in mdi devices for windows Vista

Any idea on how I can get the DM10 to show up in the drop down midi menu in the Alesis updater using Vista? I've done everything the manual says with no luck. Thanks

As long as it's powered on it should show up automatically in windows vista and 7. Does your computer even detect it as being plugged in? It should show up at least as an unknown device the moment you plug it in.

It shows up there but not in the Alesis updater drop down menu.

You're running the updater as an Administrator too right? If you are the only other thing I can think of (since it shows up in the device manager) would be to run the program in Administrator and compatibility mode for windows xp SP2. Since the computer does see it it might be a permission issue, so try running it as an Administrator if you haven't done so already.
