Need physical measurements of DM10 Pro kit (assembled)
« on: April 27, 2010, 06:30:04 PM »
Hi there.

Id really like to get back into drumming, and I figured the DM10 Pro would be perfect.  My acoustic kit is too loud and there is no space.  The only problem is the only place I could put the DM10 is in my bedroom, and I dont know if it will fit.

If it wouldnt be any trouble, could someone on here measure the kits width and depth (one end of the rack to the other)?  Also maybe a cymbal-edge to cymbal-edge measurement  would be very helpful.

Thanks.

Roughly 5 ft wide by 4 ft deep should do.

Bashing away on: Alesis DM10 Pro Kit w/ Bluejay soundset, Yamaha DTXM12, Addictive Drums, Gibraltar Cage & old skool Ludwig Maple Kit.

It's not a small footprint, but where there is a will, there is a way! Go for it!

I just measured mine.   roughly 4' wide (cymbal to cymbal) x 4' deep (to the back of the throne).

It actually sits wider, as I have the floor tom and module arms spread out.   So, 5' x 4' is a fairly accurate footprint.

On my DM5 Pro (DM10 Pro is the same size):
From foot to foot is 3'8" and front to back of throne is 3'11", farthest point of ride to farthest point on hi-hat is 4'9". My back is to a wall, so I have an extra 6" behind the throne (and since I have an entire room for it, I have plenty of space around the kit).

So depending on height and how you place cymbals, 4' by 5' should do it and 5' by 6' should be comfortable.
