Replacing snare drum head

Hello Everyone,
I have an Alesis DM10 with plastic heads.  The snare head has done good service but now needs replacing; I have a mesh head replacment with the same dimensions.  Any guidance on how to replace the head would be most welcome.  Many thanks and all the best with your drumming, Michael
