I am having volume issues with two Alesis cymbals on the Crimson 2 SE at our church.
In both cases I adjusted sensitivity, threshold, curve and volume.
Crash cymbal. One of the crash cymbals is noticeably lower in volume than the other (and the rest of the kit). This is on the rim and the body.
I swapped the two Alesis crash cymbals around and the lower volume one was still the same. I then swapped a Roland CY cymbal, and it is louder like the other good Alesis one. So, it seems that I have a bad crash and that Roland CY 2 zone cymbals work with this module.
Hi hat in the closed position, the volume is faint, even after trying multiple adjustments, I tried the Roland CY-8 and it works well volume-wise. The other positions on the Alesis high hat are good though.
Question, if I am looking to replace the Alesis crash and hi hat, which 2 zone cymbals should I be looking for? Roland, Lemon or Alesis?
Thanks!
