Drum splitters on the Alesis Nitro...

Hello all,

First post here - hope i'm in the right place...

Does anyone have any experience with drum splitters on the Alesis Nitro?

I heard you could use splitter cables to double up on the extra drum inputs on the Nitro module so I got splitter and TS cables and now I'm trying to split between an additional floor tom and an extra cymbal coming out the Tom 4 port. The problem i have now is that it's triggering the same pad regardless of which pad i hit...

I know the port definitely supports two zones as I had no issues with the head and rim working independently on a standard dual zone pad.

Has anyone else has any success with this? Not sure what I'm doing wrong! Any help appreciated...

I think you need to use TRS cables, instead of TS cables. Make sure your additional cable matches the stock cables. I think this graphic should help:

I'm using a cable splitter with Tom4 on my Crimson module using TRS cables and I haven't had any problems.
