HELP - Nitro Mesh Kit Screws to Drumstand Won't Tighten
« on: August 27, 2020, 09:16:04 AM »
Please don't be too hastily on me here guys, I'm a real newbie at Electronic Drums here lol.  :P|

I have been trying to assemble my Nitro Mesh drum kit and while I got the drumstand to where it should be, the screws that are suppose to tighten and secure the base of the drumstand won't tigthen and I don't know why.  I followed the instructions but it doesn't help.  The side screw where it tightens the connector tubes tighten fine.  It's just the top screws to the stand won't tigthen.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks!

Here are pictures to help explain what I am talking about.  If you need more clarification, please let me know.

It should be pretty straight forward...the clamps typically have an inset on one side for holding the hex nut in place and the allen bolt/washer are inserted from the opposite side.

Is the clamp tightening completely closed without actually holding/securing the tube ?

Does the bolt catch any part of the nut at all? Is there a chance you're using the connector backwards, upside down etc or is the tube the wrong one? (I'm not familiar with the Nitro frame).. are there varying bolt lengths and you've used the longer ones on other clamps that can manage with shorter ones?

Agreed. Just watching that video now and looks like there are 3 sizes of bars and clamps at least

From the info I gathered there are (2) diameters 1-1/8" and 1-3/8" and you must use 1-1/8" clamps.
Definitely not an upgradeable rack...and it's short.

The Alesis Nitro Mesh 4-Post Aluminum Rack is also the same that is included with the Nitro and Burst kit.

Includes:

- Two  28" front vertical (upright) 1-3/8" OD

- Two 24" rear vertical (upright)   1-3/8" OD

- One 20" horizontal (top/front)   1-1/8" OD

- Two 18" horizontals (sides)        1-1/8" OD

- One 14" horizontal (snare)         1-1/8" OD

- Seven T-Clamps
