Nitro Mesh: Need a hi-hat controller that doesn't break the bank

(1/1)

ragendem:
I got a good deal on a Nitro Mesh secondhand but it didn't come with a hi-hat control pedal. I got a Kat Hi-Hat controller and it didn't work. I made sure the 1/8 to 1/4 adapter was TRS and even used a multimeter to verify the pedal was putting out a signal, and adjusting the settings on the module, but I can't get any signal whatsoever.

So it looks like this Kat pedal isn't going to work, and it's back to the drawing board.

I would like to find a hi-hat controller for under $100 if possible, but if I need to I'll swallow my pride and pay more.

Hey bud, I've had this problem for the longest time with my son's nitro mesh kit. I've gone through countless friends Hi hat pedals, tried rewiring and resoldering but.... I came across absolute gold this weekend.
It was my daughter's bday and at 6 I thought it's time for a drum pad so she can join her brother and myself on the drums in the drum offs. So I bought a Temu drum pad. It rocks up with dual wired pedals. I thought no... I wouldn't. But...
I plugged it in and it works, open, close and dun dun dunnnn.. splash! The look on my son's face after work when he heard the hi hat through the powered speakers was priceless.
So yeah.
Temu. Electronic drum pad. It's a top 5 seller. Dual pedals and just use a jack to jack adapter (I used standard stereo one) to connect it up.
All up. $40.
I'll wire it through the Alesis pedal later. Or bolt the trigger into the Alesis pedal. But at this stage I don't care. I'll take the tiny plastic pedal for that price.

Oh and I now owe my daughter a new kick pedal set which I've placed an order for. Sorry Lylah.
I have pics of the items but the server keeps saying images to large so hit me up if you need pics or a link.
Enjoy
I finally have a working kick pedal!
