Alesis STRIKE DOUBLE BASS/DUAL KICK

The Kick input is actually dual zone..allowing a Double Bass/Dual Kick in the STRIKE Module..
Both Kick Zones have the same Trigger name but 2 sets of Trigger/Voice/settings.. A/B layers  etc as a normal Dual Zone input.
The 2nd zone is turned OFF..Levels..FX settings etc are all OFF or 0 (Zero)

To Activate the 2nd Kick Zone

Connect a dual zone tom You must use NOTE CHASE ..in order for the 2nd Zone to show in the Menus...
Strike the Rim..the 2nd Kick Zone will appear..it will have the same name "Kick Head" but you'll see no Instrument assigned and the Levels/settings will either be in the OFF position or 0 (Zero). You then have to assign an Instrument..Turn ON/up the levels and Turn the FX ON in the Kit FX section.

Don't forget to SAVE a USER Kit..and remember the 2nd Kick Zone will show in the Menus only if NOTE CHASE IS ON

You must use a TRS cable and a Stereo Breakout Cable (TRS to (2)TS) in order to physically setup a Double Bass/Dual separate Kicks..

The easiest way to match or setup another kick without actually having the 2nd kick is to use (2) Toms with the Stereo Breakout Cable (Y cable) and go through each setting and alternate striking the Tom Heads..You can also use just one Dual Zone Tom and alternate between Head and Rim but it's less confusing/faster using (2) Toms  since the Trigger name is the same and with one Tom it's easy to get lost going back/forth between Head/Rim....you'll be done in less than a few minutes..

Once again...Don't forget to SAVE a USER Kit..and remember the 2nd Kick Zone will show in the Menus only if NOTE CHASE IS ON

Speed Metal or Triple Beater users...enjoy....

One thing to note..2 Triggers on one input can cancel out when hit simultaneously...Post the BPM if/when this occurs.
